When attempting to update a digital dialer module the file transfers and the system returns a failed message saying file incompatible.  Going from 2.12 to 2.2 with control firmware 5.38.  Multiple attempts including reboots made as part of this process.

John – I have asked engineering to look into this. I will update you as soon as I have an answer. I tested it this morning as well and got the same issue your seeing.

John – I apologize, I overlooked the numbers when you posted them.

2.2 (Two.Two) is an older version firmware, 2.12 (Two.Twelve) is the newer version. It got me as well. I am going to take 2.2 off the site as it is not compatible with the newer boards. This is why you are getting the error and it is preventing you from updating to it.

Michael, I blew it as well.  Could the firmware files be better organized so that they are grouped newest to oldest for each hardware device?

What’s the reasoning for keeping old firmware files on the app? Makes things confusing when searching the latest version as we have to scroll to the end of the list verify and back up to what we were looking for.

Also can we get in app notifications of new firmware for devices we have installed?

                Tomas,

We keep a minimum of two versions of firmware for each device available for download from the cloud with the app. Once downloaded to your mobile device, you can utilize the “clear saved data” from the menu when on the list page to delete them from the mobile device storage. Note that this will clear all saved firmware as well as your saved login and pin in the app. Doing this every so often can clean up your firmware list.

When firmware is released it is indicated by a blue folder icon on the “Download Firmware” button in the app. The icon will appear if firmware is available but not on the device.

I will conduct a review of the available firmware tomorrow and remove/update firmware on the cloud list as needed.
