I am a bit confused with the wiring methods for an ELK SP12F speaker. In the panelOutput 2 Note 2 indicates parallel / series wiring to keep the impedance from going below 4 ohms but the cut sheet for the speaker indicates to wiring them in parallel. I need to install 4 to 5 so which is the appropriate wiring method?

Output 1 on the M1 Gold produces the Spoken Voice messages and interior siren sounds. You can connect multiple speakers to Output 1 in a series parallel combination making sure to keep the overall speaker load above 4Ω Ohms. Output 2 would typically be used for exterior notifications. Output 2 can be configured (Globals 26)as a “Siren” output (NO Voice) using a built-in siren driver in which case you can connect multiple speakers in a series parallel combination making sure to keep the overall speaker load above 4Ω Ohms — or — configured as a Voltage Output rated for 12 VDC at 1 AMP MAX. When configured as a Voltage Output 2 switches “-” (negative) . The ELK SP12F is a 32Ω Ohm Speaker rated at 12 Watts. You can connect 8 SP12F in parallel which would equal 4Ω Ohms. If you connect 5 SP12F in parallel this would be ~6.4Ω Ohms. A Multiple Speaker hook-up diagram can be found at https://elk-manuals.s3.amazonaws.com/SpeakerHookups.pdf
