My M1 is working fine, but after quite a while I see there are various FW upgrades for devices available.

My question is, given I have no issues, should I upgrade my system? What would I gain? I am running Win 11. Usually I work on “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it”

      Currently my devices are…

      RP     2.0.40

      M1G  Boot- 3.3.6    FW- 5.2.10

      P212S  1.0.4

      M1XIN  3.0.5    FW- 1.3.7

      M1XOV  2.0.3   FW- 1.2.13

      M1XSP  1.0.1   FW- 1.0.50

      M1XEP  2.0.4   FW- 2.0.44

      Thoughts please?

I would suggest making sure to keep your ElkRP2 software up to date and the M1XEP running the latest available firmware version. It is a good idea to make a copy of your ElKRP2 database which is the elkaccts2.mdb file and save to a separate location just in case you ever need a restore from a backup. Before updating the M1 or any other bus device it is a good idea to review the release notes to see if the update pertains to your system and either includes a new enhancement or corrects an issue. If the release doesn’t pertain to your system then I would not Update at this time . As you mentioned “If it isn’t Broken then Don’t Fix It” 🙂
