It seems like a poor design choice to have this keypad only communicate over wifi/ethernet.  If the network equipment has an issue, suddenly the keypad is worthless.  Having an option to wire into the data buss seems like an important feature so the security system doesn’t need to rely on 3rd party equipment to function.

Furthermore, most of our installs are w/ the C1M1 and a third party integration system and so we are unable to use this (without changing out communicator, etc) or offer it as an upgrade.

The ELK M1 System will support 16 hardwired keypads (M1KP/M1KPB, M1KP2/M1KP3, M1KPNAV, M1KPAS) connected to the M1s RS485 Data Bus. the ELK 7TS Touch Screen is not consider a keypad but more of an End Customer Interface.
