I have lost the ability for all my wireless devices to report status

The M1XRFEG status light is flashing about every second.  From the documentation this means normal operation

The “VALID” light does momentarily turn on when the M1XRFEG receives a signal

Checking enrollment status on the keypad shows 2 devices enrolled.  The keypad and a device expander.   I presume the “device expander” is the M1XRFEG

All zone programming observed through ElkRP appears to be correct

All wireless devices shows as “Normal” within the ElkRP status window

Opening a door or tripping a motion detector does not change the status. The system will continue to show “Ready to Arm” on the keypad

There are no errors showing and I do dnot see what is wrong

My gut tells me this is a programming issue (something disabled) however there were no intentional changes lately

Any further troubleshooting steps would be appreciated

        Problem solved

I checked another computer that had ElkRP installed, with an older copy of the system configuration.  I was then able to compare the configurations.

I found the issue was all the wireless devices were DISABLED (no surprise really) for some reason.  For sure to due an inadvertent mistake by me at some point.

I re-enabled all devices and realized I must SAVE the config and then upload to the panel  (one forgets how to use the software if you only use it infrequently).

After doing this, most wireless devices were in a VIOLATED state. I found I had to cycle them (open/close or motion detect) before they returned to NORMAL status.

What threw me off, when initially looking into the issue, was although the devices were DISABLED at the time, their status indicated “NORMAL” in the system status display.

I would have thought the options would be Normal, Violated, or Disabled

Anyway, another instance of operator error  🙂
